With the LaGuardia SBDC, you are not alone in making critical decisions for your business. Through One-on-One Counseling, The LaGuardia SBDC offers professional and confidential business management advice to hundreds of clients each year. Over the course of one or more counseling sessions, clients work directly with a Business Advisor to develop and implement a plan to start a new venture, expand an existing business, obtain financing or address a range of business challenges.
Dun & Bradstreet: 94.9% of SBDC counseled start-ups were still in business 5 years later compared with nation-wide data indicating that generally 90% of all firms close within 5 years.

The LaGuardia SBDC regularly delivers more than 50 expert and engaging workshops a year on topics ranging from business management to personal financial literacy. While rooted in solid business ethics and frameworks, the workshops are highly practical as they draw from the SBDC’s experience working with real-life issues of entrepreneurs in its daily counseling sessions.
SBDC workshops also help expand individual networks with other businesses and partnering service providers such as chambers of commerce, banks, government agencies, industrial development organizations, and others.
