The NYS Small Business Development Center (SBDC), in partnership with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), will provide energy reviews for small business owners interested in improving energy efficiency for their operations.
The SBDC will promote the project to its existing clients as well as to small business owners that are potential clients of the program. In addition, the SBDC will provide free one-o-one advisement and training to small business owners to help them:
•    Implement energy efficiency projects
•    Secure financing to achieve energy efficiency or to build green buildings
•    Evaluate renewable energy sources such as solar and wind
•    Evaluate energy efficiency opportunities with green buildings
•    Improve environmental performance

What the Program Offers
This program provides energy reviews for small businesses and other non-residential facilities to help them make informed electrical decisions and implement energy-efficiency strategies. Reviews help identify improvements that yield energy savings.

Additionally, the SBDC, working with the New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC) and area banks, will assist businesses in obtaining loans for implementing the reviews’ suggested measures.

Who is Eligible
The program is open to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as industrial and commercial facilities. Participants must have less than $75,000 in annual electric bills to be eligible.
